balance and flexibility
cAN’T TOUCH YOUR TOES? these programs are for you.
Balance and flexibility are two fundamental modes of exercise that can optimize performance and improve resistance to injury. Without proper balance and flexibility, muscle imbalances, joint dysfunctions, and serious injuries can occur.
balance
Maintaining balance involves controlling the position of your center of gravity over your base of support.
Balance training used in these programs include static (stationary body position), semi-dynamic (the base supporting the body is in movement), and dynamic (ever-changing base of support).
flexibility
Flexibility is the ability of a joint or series of joints to move through an unrestricted, pain free range of motion.
Flexibility training used in these programs will include self myo-fascial rolling (foam rolling) techniques as well as static, active, and dynamic stretching.
